CHECK POLICY: Upon receipt, your check may be converted into an electronic
debit and processed according to Federal Reserve rules. Receipt of the check
will be deemed to be your authorization for an Automated Clearing House
debit entry to your account, which likely will be posted to your account the
following day. If your check is dishonored or returned for any reason, we
will electronically debit your account for the amount of the check plus a
legal limit of a processing fee as per state law.
COLORADO SALES TAX: For those customers purchasing from Art & Artifact and shipping to Colorado:
We are not obligated to, and do not, collect Colorado sales tax. Your purchase is subject to Colorado sales tax unless it is specifically exempt from taxation. The purchase is not exempt merely because it is made over the Internet or by other remote means. The State of Colorado requires that the taxpayer file a sales/use tax return at the end of the year reporting all of the purchases that were not taxed and pay tax on those purchases. Retailers that do not collect Colorado sales tax are obligated to provide purchasers an end-of-year summary of purchases in order to assist purchasers in filing their tax report. Details of how to file this return may be found at the Colorado Department of Revenue's website, www.taxcolorado.com. Retailers that do not collect Colorado sales tax are required by law to provide the Colorado Department of Revenue with a report of the total amount of all of your purchases at the end of the year above certain thresholds set by the Colorado Department of Revenue.

What is the general delivery process?
We use FedEx Ground, UPS Ground and the U.S. Postal Service to ship most orders. Standard delivery fees for shipping and processing are located on the order form or can be viewed from the online shopping cart. Allow 7-10 business days from receipt of order for delivery (see shipping and processing rate chart). If there is any delay, you will be notified. Items that are personalized or shipped directly from our vendor may take four to six weeks for delivery. Items ordered at the same time may not be shipped in the same box, or
depending on availibility, on the same date. If delivery is to a foreign country, please ask for exact charges
when you place your order. Please supply a street address for delivery. We ship USPS only to
PO boxes, APO, or FPO addresses. Parcel Post delivery to
APO and FPO addresses can take three or more weeks for delivery. No rush order can be accepted on PO,
APO, or FPO addresses. Credit card orders are charged only as each item is shipped.
How do you deliver large or heavy items?
Because some items require special packaging or processing to protect
against damage, additional costs are incurred. This amount appears in
(parentheses) after the retail price and will be added to the standard
shipping and processing fee. U.S. territories, Alaska & Hawaii please

What is the charge for Rush or Overnight air delivery?

Overnight Delivery: add $20.99 to the standard shipping and processing charge. Orders received by 12 noon (EST) will be delivered the next business day.

How do you handle orders outside the USA?
We ship via Air Parcel Post from the U.S. Postal Service. Your account will
be charged actual postage plus standard shipping and processing. If calling
from outside the U.S., please dial 1-330-650-5000. U.S. funds only, duties
and taxes are the customer's responsibility.
What is White Glove Service?
On selected items, our White Glove Delivery Service (noted on the product's information page, if applicable) brings the item into your home,
places it wherever you choose, and is inspected for damage. Delivery is available Monday through Friday only.
Our carrier will call to arrange a delivery appointment convenient for you. There are additional charges for any missed
delivery attempts and reschedules. Please call our Customer Service Department at 1-800-441-2242 with any questions regarding delivery.
More information about freight/truck only delivery
Large, heavy or bulky items require truck delivery. Additional charges are required for these items and are noted on the
item's information page, and are not waivable or refundable. These charges are in addition to standard shipping and handling fees. Our Standard Delivery
Service for lighter freight merchandise delivers the item into the first floor of your home.
Giving a Gift?
We give special attention to gift orders and, of course,
omit price and sales slips. At your request, we will include a gift card
with your personal message, printed on card stock, with any order, at no
charge. Include message in the "Gift Message" field during checkout. For an
additional $4.00 we can place a purchased item in a Gift Bag. On the "your
order" or "checkout" screen where your items are listed, you will see a
"Gift Bag" column. If the item has gift-bagging available you will see a
"click" in that column. Click that link and the Gift Bag ($4.00) will be
added as a separate item to your order, and the item you want gift-bagged
will be added to your "gift bagged" list.
Each time you click to gift bag another item, it will be added to your "gift
bagged" list. If you'd like to see a complete list of your gift bagged
items, click the "view items" link where it says "Gift Bag" in your order. A
pop-up window will appear listing your gift-bagged items.
To remove the gift bags from your order, simply click the "delete" link that
appears in the "Gift Bag" column. If you make a mistake or the quantity of
the Gift Wrap does not match the number of items you've selected to be
wrapped, then click "delete" and re-bag your items.
Unfortunately we cannot provide gift bags for some large, heavy, unusually
shaped products, or those items shipped directly from our vendors. "Gift
wrap not available" is noted on the item's information page, and signified
by an "n/a" in its "Gift Wrap" column on the order screens. If you have any
questions concerning gift bagging, please call 1-800-441-2242 or e-mail us.
What is your return policy?
Returns made for reasons other than damage, defect or our error must be returned postage prepaid. Please note that you are
responsible for the safe return of merchandise and all shipping costs. C.O.D. returns cannot be processed. Be sure to insure the
package and obtain a receipt from the carrier as proof of return.
For most items, you may return your purchase at any time for an exchange,
refund or credit. Personalized items, however, can be returned only if the
result of our error or manufacturing defect. Home furnishing items can only
be returned within 30 days of receipt. Directions are provided on the back
of your packing slip. Refunds will be made in the same manner payment was
rendered. Our Customer Service Staff is happy to provide additional
assistance. Simply call us at 1-800-441-2242.
